Crocheted Roses

I love these roses! The pattern is really simple, so I was able to make a bunch during four to five hour long rehearsals for the play I was in this summer. The bouquet was actually for the director, who was amazingly awesome. I made four other of the green hair ties at the right for a few friends that had a green part. It's actually fun to wear anytime! Sock and Tights Barbie Clothes

This is totally mine, I took a blue sock to make the 'jeans' and an orange sock for the sweater. They don't really work, because a lot of the seams have come out, but they were fun to make!

I took a pair of torn up tights and a plastic hoop a scarf came on to make the skirt, and a pink sock for the top. Again, pretty fun to do!

These were originally going to be a birthday present for a cousin, but her birthday passed and she never got them. Oh well, now I have three random Barbie garments made out of tights and a sock, and nothing to do with them! I guess there's always Christmas!

Rectangle Shrug

This is a sad story with a happy ending. I saw a similar idea on some blog somewhere,  and thought, "If I can finish this in two months I can wear it for a school spirit day!"  (Don't ask.) So I started it, and it was taking forever, and fifteen rows in I had the brilliant idea to do a garter stitch border, and the inside stockinette stitch. Thank heavens I didn't want a border all around. I just did fifteen rows of garter stitch, a bazillion stockinette, and another fifteen rows garter stitch. The top picture is at the point I realized I didn't have enough yarn. (Hence the mysterious tail.) It was the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and I still had almost a month to go, but I had gotten my heart set on finishing it that weekend. Unfortunately, I had a possibly sprained foot, so I couldn't go to the store. Very sad. Happy ending time: My mom drove to the store and got me some black yarn! It turned out great, right?

Note: I had considered doing a full tutorial, but couldn't see the point. I cast on 50 stitches, and then did what I wrote above. Sew the corners together for the sleeves.

American Girl Clothes

I love this pattern. I was looking for a American Girl clothes pattern to make for my cousin's Christmas present, and I wasn't sure when I found this pattern, but I'm glad I tried it. She is getting the pink dress, and the purple tunic. (I'll be sure to tell her to add pants!) http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?p=1579576

It's the last day of summer vacation, but I don't feel sad at all. Hopefully, I will be able to keep up pretty regular posts!

Altered Barbie Clothes

I had a really pretty pink dress for a standard Barbie, but since I have long since gotten rid of all but one (headless) Barbie, and only have two from a different brand left, I altered it to fit these dolls. I took off the straps and more recently cut of the hot pink part of the skirt.

I also altered this dress, cutting of the wings, sleeves, and hemming it to be a lot shorter. You can't really tell from this picture, but the skirt and sleeves are fringed. Great gifts for mini cousin!

Cotton Candy Scarf

Once upon a time, I had three balls of variegated yarn all about the same size and all without a purpose. I made scarves out of all three, and this is the most recent (and unfortunately the only one I have a picture of). It took me about two weeks of on and off knitting in between assorted distractions. I added the fringe for the experience. Miraculously, there are only two problems, and they are virtually unnoticeable!  (Just don't look at the end on the right, I bound off too tightly.) And they all lived happily ever after. This was made a while ago, and I still don't know what to do with it! I suppose I could give it to a small cousin, but they all have siblings, so I would have to make them something too. Decisions, decisions.

Amigurumi Boogers

I made these two adorable boogers about a year ago. They were easy to make, and my first amigurumi project. I think they were also the first real crochet project I did. Anyway, here's the link: http://a-crochet-ninja.blogspot.com/2009/12/bogies.html

Welcome to Sudsy Jellyfish!

This is the first blog I've ever had. I had a website for a few months, but I decided I liked the organizational system of blogs better, so I made the switch. I have a lot of content stored, so I hopefully I will be making a daily post, at least for a few weeks. In case you were wondering, the name is just some random nonsense I thought up, which oddly enough, is how I do a lot of things...... I hope you enjoy the future posts!
